This process, which is scheduled to end in 2020, will affect 51 stations on metro lines 1, 2, 5, as well as the command post, where the operation and management of the system is centralized.
To achieve the above objectives, the Praesideo loudspeaker solution from Bosch is being implemented; it is a totally digital system and uses the IP network for the distribution of audio signals. "We will improve the intelligibility of the messages in each of the 51 stations with the detailed realization of an electroacoustic simulation project for each of them," says Miquel Guindulain, expert in audio-visual systems at DOMINION.
It is worth mentioning that one of the main difficulties with which they are having to deal with lies in the logistics associated with the implementation of the new system, since, when installing with the Metro network in operation, the works are limited to 4 hours daily at night. "Logistics, both personnel and materials, are fundamental," says Miquel.
The scope of the project is completed with maintenance services for 5 years of the public-address systems of the 108 stations available to Metro Santiago on lines 1, 2, 4 and 5.
DOMINION adds to its trajectory in Chile this project in which it collaborates in the digital transformation of one of the means of transport preferred by the Chilean population, demonstrating once again its capacity to make the processes of its clients more efficient through technology, knowledge and innovation.
