We Contribute to the SDGs of the World Pact

One step further in our commitment towards sustainable development

We Contribute to the SDGs of the World Pact
Dominion Global

DOMINION officially joined the United Nations Global Compact in December 2018. This commitment obliges Dominion to uphold its 10 universally recognized Principles and to act as a mediator to contribute towards the fulfillment of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

What is the 2030 Agenda?

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development arose from the commitment of the member States of the United Nations with the main focus being the protection of people, the planet and prosperity.

It highlights the need to promote alliances between different public-private organisations to help find solutions and better practices to achieve the 17 goals. These goals address economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection.

Which SDG do we focus our efforts on?

Of the 17 different goals the UN has set out to end extreme poverty, combat discrimination and injustice, and curb climate change, DOMINION has identified seven for which the Company's activities could play a significant role.

  • 10 because of our commitment to our team, and to society, to support diversity and fight against inequality.
  • 7, 8, 9 and 12 because of our ability to create a positive social and environmental footprint, as well as DOMINION's focus on innovation and efficiency, both drivers of economic development that we must all make sustainable.
  • 4 because of our specific commitment to education, particularly technology, which we believe to be an essential tool for making progress in a more just and sustainable society.

Planning goals, actions and progress reporting with regards to the SDGs are in line with our actions, which form a part of a single Sustainability Plan.
