The Challenge
The SNIACE project represented a significant technical and operational challenge, as it required the management of large volumes of sludge within an industrial facility that remained fully operational. The works had to be carried out while ensuring operational safety at all times, environmental control, and the optimization of the waste generated.
In addition, the project combined two very different scopes—the cleaning and dewatering of sludge at the industrial wastewater treatment plant (EDARI) and the remediation of a natural lagoon—which required precise planning, effective coordination of resources, and the ability to adapt to changing conditions during execution.
DOMINION's +
DOMINION contributed to the project with its expertise in industrial sludge management, together with the use of its own centrifugation equipment, enabling direct control of the processes and highly efficient execution.
The use of in-house resources, combined with the team’s technical expertise and comprehensive project management, made it possible to significantly reduce waste volumes, optimize the associated logistics, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards throughout all phases of the work.
Results
Thanks to the implemented solution, the extraction and treatment of 15,000 m³ of biological sludge were achieved, reducing the final volume to 2,500 m³ through dewatering processes. In parallel, the stabilization and management of 15,000 tonnes of sludge from a natural lagoon at the facility were carried out.
The project was completed within the scheduled timeframe, maintaining high operational availability and demonstrating DOMINION’s capability to deliver complex environmental remediation and waste management projects in industrial environments.
