DOMINION opens the competitive process for the sale of the Cerritos wind farm (66 MW) in Zacatecas, Mexico, an operational asset that contributes to avoiding more than 70,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.

The Cerritos wind farm, located in Zacatecas, Mexico, is now operational and generating energy under the "test revenues" model. With an installed capacity of 66 MW and 22 wind turbines, it prevents the emission of more than 70,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year.

In line with its commitment to promoting the global energy transition, DOMINION has opened the competitive process for the sale of the Cerritos wind farm, a project that represents a new milestone in its strategy of simplification and focus on growth in the environmental area, as set out in its 2023–2026 Strategic Plan.

The wind farm, developed by Mexican company Eólica Cerritos S.A.P.I. de C.V., began operating in the third quarter of 2025, after successfully completing the technical commissioning of its 22 turbines. With a total installed capacity of 66 MW, Cerritos contributes 215,000 MWh per year to the electricity system, equivalent to the consumption of thousands of households, and directly contributes to the reduction of more than 70,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year.

To lead the competitive sale process, DOMINION has entrusted Citi as its global financial advisor. The transaction has attracted considerable interest from domestic and international investors, who are already in the process of reviewing the documentation and technical-financial analysis of the asset.

Binding offers are expected to be received in December 2025, with the transaction closing in early 2026.

With this transaction, DOMINION continues to advance its goal of focusing resources on technological and environmental solutions that promote cleaner, more efficient and responsible energy in its key markets.

“The start of the divestment process for the Cerritos asset marks an important milestone for DOMINION. This project has required significant technical and management effort, and its success reaffirms our ability to execute complex and sustainable projects in demanding environments. Cerritos is a solid asset that reflects our commitment to the energy transition and the creation of sustainable value.”
