For one of its combined cycle plants, the client needed a regulation and measurement station (ERM) to condition the Natural Gas, and was searching for a supplier with proven expertise in being able to perform the complete design, documentation, workshop execution and on-site assembly, as well as being able to transport the equipment internationally.
An additional challenge was the fact that there was little room to assemble of all the equipment, so we had to work on keeping the compact design to a minimum.
Dominion designed the installation based on the guidelines provided by the client regarding minimum filtering, minimum guaranteed pressures, and regulation stability. The supply, assembly, commissioning and guarantee tests.
As well as this, the standard design for this type of facility was modified and an instantaneous cut-off safety valve was used for the first time as an automatic overpressure cut-off valve, but with the possibility of being closed remotely from the DCS in the event of an emergency. A solution that would have not been possible without the involvement and expertise provided by our technicians.

The project was implemented in the scheduled time and is now in full operation. A sign that the customer was satisfied was the fact that Dominion was hired to for another ERM at a new combined cycle plant. A trusting relationship was also created with our technicians, who they consult regarding the ERMs developed by us or from other suppliers.
